2.2[001] When you wake up in a strange bed it's 50/50 whether you want to remember how you got there

[The hologram flickers for a moment, someone’s hand in the way. Then the hand disappears and a pink shirt is visible before the person steps back to reveal a girl half bending over to examine the hovering sphere]

That was unexpected.

[The girl stands studying the sphere for a moment, looking troubled. the cabin around her is tilted and ruined crazily

[ Sasuke had the sphere on as background noise and for monitoring purposes while working on making a better camp for himself. The familiar voice wasn't one he expected, but given all past experiences, it's one he's going to have to handle carefully. ]

You're in the wreckage of the spaceship Crucible.

[Sakura is still trying to figure this thing out. She's smart, but, come on, it's sort of completely foreign. There's a long pause during which the sound of her, er, colorfully attempting to persuade the sphere to work again is transmitted]

--You stupid... how do you... work already!--

[A crash. Nothing for a while. Then the sphere flickers on and Sakura's face is glaring oh so suspiciously and... Hopefully a bit as well]

... Sasuke?

[ What he hears amuses him just a bit. She was doing far better than Naruto had, but he felt that was a personality difference, as well as a certain world approach difference. ]

[Long, awkward silence is now. Sakura's expression is a mix between hopeful and wary, with a good amount of confusion. On the one hand, she's talking to Saskue, on the other... She's talking to Sasuke, has no idea where she is, or how she got there, or even what Sasuke's doing in all this, and as far as she knows she's on her own.]

[Eventually she just asks.]

Alright. What's going on? Spaceship? Crucible?

Where does it look like? [You new arrivals tend to amuse him.]

[More fumbling with trying to get the sphere to work. Oh yes, she's not good at it.]

[she's getting the hang of these spheres, Sasuke helping her helps too.]

Naruto. [Her relief is very apparent]

He told me you were here. I'm glad to see you.

[He grins; very happy to see her.] I'm glad to see you too!! How are you?!! How are the others? Are Shikamaru and Asuma-sensei all right? Baachan? Ero-sennin? [aw, Sakura has to break him the news.]

Yes... he is. [a wistful smile graces his lips] He's the nice Sasuke! He never betrayed Konoha and went along with that snake bastard! [an apparent hint of longing was laced in his voice]

[Sakura's expression lifts into a true smile for the first time since she arrived. It's a relief to have Naruto's cheerful nature. But a minute later his words sink in and she looks away, hair hiding her expression.]

When are you from, Naruto? [Her voice is a little strained, falsely upbeat. She isn't going to answer right away.]

[Talking about Sasuke is easier.] Really? He told me he was from another dimension. And he's older for sure. I guess... I'm glad. His team must miss him though. [She looks uncertain for a moment] He probably misses them too, if he never left. I wonder... If he's lonely.

[Stares for a minute. Remembers herself. ]
