Oh, thank you! It was certainly intended to be all those things, so I'm glad that came across!

Love this!

(He knows that she could go on, if he were to die on one of these missions out on the edges of known space.)

(Still, he is not certain he could survive losing her.)
This just killed me dead. Oh Spock, I hope you never have to find out.

That was one part of the story that wasn't planned at all, and just sort of popped in. I like to think it works (to an extent) for them.

Glad you liked the story!

oh this rocks! i love that spock was struck speechless by one of uhura's smiles lol.

and i love that you put her in command--they never allowed her to on the show. and she's fourth in command.

also--i loved how they notice kirk's 'quirks' ie ripping of uniform and the macking on of females.

good job.

I find the idea of Uhura's smiles pretty much frying Spock's brain incredibly funny. I have a feeling that it's going to become something of a theme in my stories.

Kirk amuses me terribly. I don't know why - no, wait, I do. I really do.

Thanks!

I loved this! Not only did you capture Spock to a tee, but your recap of the ridiculousness of Captain Proton is dead-on.

Lovely. Thank you.

Captain Proton is just so much fun! Although, I will admit that it was partly a chance to point out all the thinks that make me laugh/cringe in old sci-fi shows. Not that I don't still love them, of course.

Spock is surprisingly fun/easy for me to write.

Excellent use of parentheses! :)

Wonderfully done. You were able to bring out so many little details of thier relationship in such a short piece and they all fit beautifully.

Very well written, thanks for sharing it!

The parentheses really started sneaking in there towards the end. I'm still trying to determine where they came from. :D

Spock and Uhura really are one of my favorite pairings. Ever. And they really are so wonderful to write.

And you're quite welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
