Hey! Here's hoping this finds you well. I actually have two comments for you today, both of which I hope you'll take into consideration in whatever way necessary.

The first comment is less about characterization as it is about behavior as a player and a participant in an online roleplaying community. Especially recently, I've noticed a very subtle tendency you have to... almost guilt-trip people into shipping what you want or sending the thread in the direction you expect. Maybe you don't realize it, and I'm more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt in that regard, but I really think it's something you need to pay attention to; it can be very off-putting if a player you're logging with either won't take no for an answer or keeps trying to manipulate the direction of the thread to suit his/her desires, especially when it comes to shipping. Sometimes, a player or a character (for whatever reason) just won't want to ship with Haru, and it seems to me that you need to pay better attention to leaving well enough alone when it

Before I reply I'd first like to thank you. I think it's really kind of you to bring this to my attention because I honestly had no idea that I was doing that or, oh man, making anyone uncomfortable. I would never want that. I love playing with everyone here and I do sometimes get disappointed when things don't quite go how I'd like but from now on I'll try very hard to, just as you say, take things as they come. Actually, I have a request, if possible, can you give me some examples so I can see where I pushed the envelope so I can spot it when the conversation starts heading that way again? I'm a little worried now that I won't realize it when it's happening and will make the same embarrassing mistake again. (I'd also really like to apologize to the players in case they were upset

Sorry about the delay between comments; I forgot to stalkerpin the thread, so I didn't get a notification.

It's difficult to give exact examples without giving my identity away or giving away the identities of people who have raised similar concerns, especially since a lot of it takes place during OOC discussion over AIM or in chat. Otherwise I would definitely try to be more forthcoming, since I know it can be frustrating to have something pointed out to you without any instances to back it up. If I think of something unincriminating, I'll certainly let you know!

The second comment is one that you've likely heard variations on before, and it has to do with Haru's sexuality. I know that you have his sexuality listed as "unknown" in his info page, and I don't disagree with that---he has only three (ish) episodes of proper screentime, and especially in a Nickelodeon show, that's not quite enough to develop a real idea of how he swings

Again, thank you for your comments. After the last crit I got on Haru's sexuality, I tried very hard to increase his interaction with women and in fact he has started a relationship of sorts with George and has been with two other women since then - not counting Skuld, Summer, or Sancia. his only regular male lover is Maxxie and on rare occasion, Apollo (His mun and I still can't quite figure out what is going on with them but are just playing it by ear

I can see how retconning Haru's interactions (so to speak) would be difficult; if you've spent however many months--seven you said?--operating under a certain MO, it would be understandably difficult to suddenly switch tactics. Short of resetting him (which is an option, though likely not the most ideal), I don't think there's necessarily any one thing you can do to make it go away. If I were in your shoes, I would probably just keep the relationships he already has--because Haru is dedicated to his friends and loved ones, that's a key part of his personality--but be wary of starting new relationships with men (at least sexual relationships. Obviously with friendship you're in the clear). If you were to only have him offer when a situation becomes dire, i.e. as you have with Thom and Monk right now, you should be fine

What you've suggested makes a lot of sense and barring anything strange happening (curses, emergencies, or whatever) I think Haru will stick with the men he's got in his life (romantically).

Thankfully, the handjob log never needed to happen so it became a moot point but I'll keep that in mind for the future.

I'm really liking the plot progress you're having with him relationship wise, but would maybe like to see something from him that isn't part of his romances too.

Thank you! The three of us are really enjoying the plot with them. And yeah, Haru's been feeling a little stagnant lately other!plotwise even with the business deals he's making with Az but his year in Amat anniversary is coming up and I think he's going to make a post about that, which should be romance free. lol
