Where did you hear this about genocide day? Of course there was much slaughter in later centuries, but I'm pretty sure it didn't happen with the pilgrims. genocide day is in reference to the fact that contrary to what they taght us in 2nd grade, the indians and the pilgrims did not make friends with one another. instead our forefathers slaughtered them mercilessly and took their land.
