Friday, I was getting ready to make a 400 mile drive to go and see a friend of ours in Springfield, IL. and spend the weekend out there. It was time to get the oil changed in the Escape, and also long overdue for the tires to be rotated too

Yeah that stuff always adds up. But then knowing you aren't gonna have a blowout it's worth the peace of mind I guess.

Yuck. Yeah, my A/C pretty much just quit on me and when I went into to get it looked at they quoted me 400 bucks to fix it. Now Im torn whether to put up with it for one last summer or pour more money into a 12 year old car that I probably won't have for too much longer.

And its great how good times with friends can get that kinda stuff off your mind:)

Yeah, I hear ya. I was thinking about trading mine in also for something new. Now that I have brand new tires, I probably should keep it longer. I doubt they would give me much more for a trade in for the new tires...Oh well

Well thats the same loop that Im stuck in. I just got new tires and a CD deck. That warrants at least another two years of use...
