Well... the hurricane came and went
...and it took out a bridge. Apparently one of the foundations of the bridge shifted a little, broke a gas pipe, which blew up and started a gas fire. And now there's a chunk of bridge missing, both lanes fell down into the river. I'm not sure if the explosion brough down the section of the bridge, or if the gas leak started afterwards ( Read more... ) -
Pfft. Wimpy hurricane.
So, I've been receiving all kinds of warnings, public announcements and whathaveyous, on the radio and TV, and everyone's going "OMG the Hurricane is coming! Be prepared! Save yourselves! The end is nigh! OMGWTFLOL!!!11!1"... and it's just a regular storm with lots of rain. And it's not even raining as much as it did last week. And i'm kinda stuck ( Read more... ) -
Blown with the wind
Hurricane's gonna hit my state by tomorrow morning, so I may have to stay at home and not go to work. They even let us leave early from the office, so we could make whatever preparations needed to weather the storm.
And obviously, I came here to surf the web. Heh. -
Quick news
Lotsa work. Thankfully we didn't have to work this past Sunday, since there was no point in working all sunday long if we weren't gonna finish it anyhow, so I guess we're gonna have to work extra hours this week or something. Hopefully this thing will be done soon, so we can move on to the next project ( Read more... )
