It was a good con and weekend for the most part, but incidents with the hotel staff and assholes who weren't part of the con made it less enjoyable then it could have been, and left me feeling empty inside. Sounds like you got a little shell-shocked due to events that occurred at the convention. It is not a good idea to judge your social skills and experiences based solely off things that happen at a furry convention. I suggest starting out slow with a few friends in your local community and see how things develop over time. They best way to find a mate is to find a good friend. It's important to be someone's friend first, and then if things go deeper, you have a good foundation to build upon. Who needs friends? Everyone does really. I wish you the best in whatever path you choose!
