It's been beautiful here in Portland. It was the first day of the Farmers Market and it couldn't have been better. Fresh mushrooms and spinach and honeycomb and apples and pears for like 10 bucks! This morning Noah& I watched the kids at church and I for one was nervous about that. I don't know why I felt strange about it...maybe it has been too long since I've been around that many kids, or maybe because it's so relaxed and I was kind of in charge or something along those lines ( Read more... )

All in all, I am really proud that I went up there in front of crowd and actually did this. I put my mind to something and followed through. Even if there were more "um's" than I'd like...some people laughed, some people didn't. Pretty much what you'd expect. I do drop an "F" bomb, so you've been warned...

Tonight is the night of my open mic comedy night...

This week I: cried tears of joy seeing a newborn baby at just 10 days old, saw Magnetic Fields in concert, spoke Russian with a tutor & held my own in class, saw a free Quasi show, made falafel, fell asleep to Noah doing my dishes, and worked worked worked and you know what? It's been a good week.
