It finally happened. I put down my cat on Thursday night. He had gotten to a point where he couldn't even stand up because he was so weak, and he was soiling himself from being unable to get up to his litter box. It was the hardest decision I had to make, but I didn't think it was right to let him live that way, and possibly die in suffering. At ( Read more... )

I really need to get some sleep, but I suddenly felt an impulse to send an update on the current goings on, as the last thing I'd mentioned has been my sick cat. Well, cat is still alive, but not well. He is pretty weak because he won't eat much and I have resorted to feeding him baby food, which is mostly what he will only eat now. Charley seems to be doing better, at least eating, and seems to have more energy than before. I don't know whether that means he's actually recovering, or if it is just the steroids helping with the cancer. But I am at least glad he seems better.
