Apparently only "the usual", carrots, hay, parsley.

I keep hoping that his host will e-mail me suddenly having remembered giving him a piece of beetroot or something.

Beets make my pee pink.

Usually blood in urine ends up looking redder or rustier. Beet pee is more of a diluted magenta.
