The news from local friends and family is that Brendan will be taken off life support tonight. In learning more about the situation, I was told he was found unconscious after it happened and was without oxygen for an unknown length of time, unlike his first heart attack where he was alert and able to get immediate care before it progressed. I just found out my ex-partner (also known as my not-a-husband) had a heart attack and is in a medically induced coma. This is his second, he also had one when I was about 30. He has resulting brain inflammation and is fighting off pneumonia. We haven't seen each other since 2005 and we've been terrible about keeping in touch except via Twitter. I ( Read more... )

When you log into your old LJ for the first time in probably a few years, and realize multiple people on your friends list are now dead.

Anyway, I'm back.

I haven't posted in almost 10 years and I don't go into #c anymore unless some serious shit has gone down in the world, but I can still be reached here.
