Thank you, and I'm glad you found the second part! I'm happy that you like it, and especially that you can see the undercurrent of care and recovery. I know I amped it way up in this chapter - I really debated on whether or not it was too much - but I wanted to bring out Quinn's character arc in the story, and her liberation from the negative thinking that was oppressing her so intently. It *is* healing, for her, anyway. I felt like I couldn't get there without going really dark and letting her find herself in that moment. More to come, more to come, esp. with R/Q as a pair.

... wow. See, you have reduced me to incoherency.

Oh, goodness, I don't even know what to say. I hope that's positive incoherency and not traumatized, lol. I know this chapter was intense. Thanks for reading, and thanks for taking the time to comment. And, btw, your icon is beautiful! In addition to her expression, the lighting is so dreamy and soft and ethereal. Just lovely. And super fitting for this section!

Very positive - you really have a talent, and a light hand with the angst which is needed when you're dealing with such intense subject matter. It's so easy to pile it on too deep and you lose the impact it should have. It's lovely isn't it? skippingstars is quite talented.

Thank you. Srsly? THANK YOU. I was really worried about that with this chapter, and I've been dying to interrogate my commenters to be like "okay, what did you think about this, and this, and this, and this," lol. But, ummm, no, because that would be spastic. My biggest question about this chapter was whether it was too much, whether it was over the top and too angsty, whether it went too dark or was too graphic in terms of the violence. I think I went back and counted how many times I used the word "tears" or "cries" as an angst-o-meter, lol. To hear you say I have a light hand with the angst really makes me happy. Thanks for the readership and the comments!

Thank you, and thanks for taking the time to comment. I so, so appreciate it. I'm especially thankful to hear you say it was moving - I was afraid the essential element, which (for me) is the restorative care Quinn is experiencing and its subsequent awakening in her, would be lost in this section because it was so graphic and intense. I know it's kind of raw, and it can really touch a nerve, like it sounds like it did with you. I appreciate your sticking with it!

I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying it. Thank for taking the time to comment, and especially appreciate hearing that the characters and their emotions seem authentic. Definitely more interesting things to come in the next chapter, which I'm hoping to get up over the weekend. I've been getting and getting to the femslashy parts, so expect more R/Q soon!

You have such an understanding of why I'm writing this story, and I'm so sorry but also glad that you can relate to it so clearly. An epiphany is EXACTLY what is happening with Quinn here. I really worried that I went so dark and so deep in this chapter that it was over the top, that it would turn readers off, but I mentioned up thread as well that an important part of anyone's recovery is going into the dark and being able to find the truth there. That's what happened with Quinn here, and it sounds like you're not a stranger to that process either. When people go through those things, their relationship with their abuser is complicated, forever, and so is their relationship with themselves. I hope you find moments for yourself in your adult life, and give yourself the care that I get to give Quinn in this story.

Thank you for sharing your experience and your comments with me. More to come for our heroines soon!
