Rachel and Santana were SO FUN to write in this chapter, definitely a bright spot in a somber process. I loved Santana kicking the door in, and honestly she surprised me with that... I wrote it and was like, "oh, of COURSE she just kicked in the door, there, of COURSE she did." And, re: Rachel, I'm really liking being able to bring out and shine a light on her self-assuredness. I think in canon she's so often seen as over the top, and she's definitely vulnerable, but she also has such a clear sense of people, and relationships. Her one on one conversations with characters on the show are so insightful. I love that in this fic it's her mind and her confidence - her willingness to do just get things done and honor her own worldview. I HEART RACHEL!

Thanks for sticking with it! I know this chapter was super hard. I really went back and forth with it, about how graphic to be, how dark to go, how badly to let Quinn be hurt... I didn't want to go over the top, but I didn't want to gloss over it either. Plus I'm just a sucker for a good rescue. ;) I love a rescue, and I love that whole hurt/comfort process. Like a moth to a really angsty flame, haha. I'm glad the characters seem real to you, and authentic - that means a lot to hear, and I'm glad you're enjoying it! Holy crap. This was amazing. My hands were sweating the whole Quinn and jerk scene, seriously. I really like the way you wrote all that part btw. It was hard to read because I love Quinn and I don't like when she's hurt but I liked that it wasn't over the top you know? On the descriptions you knew where to start and where to stop and I'm very grateful for that because that's very hard to find in angsty fics with this kinda of subject. So well done :)
