So, I know it's been... *checks last LJ entry* Eep! Um, almost a year and a half since I last updated... but rather than do the standard "Here's everything I've been up to!" entry, I'm just going to bring you a plain old regular update. With any luck, it will be the first of many more to come

Good to see you! I'm trying to take myself off FB for the nonce --- it's just gotten too ugly, so I'm glad to see you back here!

Apparently just one more day of hideous heat here then we get a little bit of fall --- or what we call fall in Texas, which is when the high temp dips below 85F :).

I've added "Post to LJ" to my taskboard as a weekly task, so I'll hopefully be updating at least once a week. The taskboard has been pretty effective for the last year... it's about time to add something new to it.

It’s so annoying when the gas lift goes on a chair isn’t it. I’m glad they still had one you like. It is hard to find a comfy chair when you’re buying online.

I have just as much bother trying to find one in person. When I found the last chair, it was after searching five different stores. Finding that someone had the same chair available online was such a relief!

That really looks like a very comfortable office chair, even in it's well used state, I hope Zoe gets many years of use from it, whilst you and Numfar enjoy the new version.

Paul could do with a new office chair, but he complains that many of them do not come up high enough for him and Amazon never seem to give minimum and maximum seat height in their description. which is a shame as you would think it would be an important decider for some people.

Oh yeah... that seems like it would be vital info to have when you're buying a chair! I hadn't actually looked into that sort of thing on Amazon, since I had the model number and just went straight to it. It's amazing how much of a pain it can me! And I thought clothes shopping was tedious!

That chair looks VERY comfy. And how weird - someone else on my friends list had a cat called "Numfar."

Yes! That would probably be deborahw37! Hers came first. When we picked up our Numfar from the animal shelter, we were trying to think of a name and because of Deb, that was the first name that came to mind for her (and it really does seem to suit her).
