Today was really fun.  A few friends from work, my roommate, my friend from mit, and his friend all went to see hp 5 at a theatre in georgetown.  The weather was beautiful, the walk was fun, we all had a great time.  Then, we set off to find somewhere for lunch that was cheap, vegetarian, and not a chain.  We stumbled across this adorable little ( Read more... )

i went to a bargain bookstore yesterday, that had lots of random books, and I found a copy of 'ramona la peste', which is of course the original ramona book translated into francais.  I've been reading it, and am pleasantly surprised that I haven't lost much of my French skills, and i love the book as much as I ever have...its quite a fun read.

so, i'm finally back in town, and i think we should all hang out sometime in the near future...i was thinking it would be fun to head off to a renfest, but seeing as how i'm leaving by the end of next week, and there aren't any more renfests 'til then....we might have some issues, ah well, we should plan some sort of gathering.....

One final down, three to go, and I can't believe that freshman year of college is nearly over.   I wish it weren't.  I've learned a lot in classes, made amazing friends, learned to relax a bit, tested my academic/stress boundaries, realized that 3 hours of sleep is enough to function on, and had so much fun through it all.  I'm looking forward to ( Read more... )

Oh wow.  After a few months of planning/preparation, we finally had HOLI today, and it was amazing.  Yes, its usually celebrated in March, but we wanted the weather to cooperate, and we joined w/ MIT's Spring Weekend to get more publicity/money to make the event even better ( Read more... )
