Oh no. Sorry about the job. What a horrible way to find out. It's almost like something out of a movie. Are you going to confront anyone about it?
The 'pap every three years' thing is becoming popular here, too. You have to have a clean HPV test, but if you do, many doctors don't believe in annual paps. It does seem like a long time to go between visits.
I think most insurance plans still cover annual paps, though.
1. That is just MADE of lame...how do companies who handle things that stupidly stay open let alone be able to afford new offices? Ridiculous.
2. I'm so sorry! Ian's sister has that and things are...well, not going very well. If your friend caught it early and takes dramatic action there's lots of hope for her.
Have you found out any more about the job? They're laying off 70 people where Shane works, which is technically where I work; it's just that he works for the university hospital and I work for the university. I don't think he'll be affected because they're so shorthanded. But in the same news story where they announce the layoffs, they also announce that the university president is getting an annual raise of $150k.
Hoping you heard good news about your friend. Any updates? The one thing I can't complain about is the quality (and cost) of my health insurance.
Hausmann wants you to get on Facebook. The number of ASP people over there appears to be growing.
