I haven't posted for 5 years. I can't believe it! So much has happened in the last 5 years. We have sold our place on Gabriola Island in Canada's Gulf Islands and now have a place in Florida. we go there for about 2 or 3 months in the winter and I go to art school. Back from holidays
I have been away on a 6,000 mile road trip. I basically toured the US Pacific Coast and then went inland as far as Oklahoma City. It was a very interesting trip. Will hopefully have painting to post soon. -
More paint
2005.12.05:
I have slapped more paint on a couple paintings. They are not good but they are a start. I have a couple images in my mind that I am trying to get, a summer scene and a fall scene. I will get them eventually. -
Painting
I have lots of ideas and feel like experimenting. One of my daughter-in-law gave me a really nice book called Acrylic Landscape Painting Techniques by Hugh Greer. My daughter-in-law paints herself and she knows my style. This book is very like my style. It has some really interesting ideas. The color scheme is different. Mr. Grant is into ( Read more... ) -
Skies
I am still painting skies. I have preped a lot of masonite and it will take awhile to finish the skies. I always spend too much time on skies. I love skies and clouds. It drives me crazy to try to capture it. I will keep at it. -
More painting
I have finally slapped some paint on masonite. I have started another painting. I have also attempted to post another painting. It is of the Nusitlin River in Yukon in summer. Here goes.

It is almost the 11th hour of the 11th month of the 11th day: Rememberance Day and I do remember those men and women. Getting Started
I am still getting started with my painting. Yesterday I sorted thourgh some of the pics that I took on the British Columbia coast last summer and something started to take shape in my mind as a possibility. Woodsey Walk
I am stuggled with painting. However, it was a beautiful, sunny day so I decided to take a woodsey walk. It was so lovely. I followed a trail through the newly growing forest until I was high enough to see the ocean in the distance. It was such a lovely blue against the paler blue of the distant mountains. Tomorrow is another day. -
Painting
I got up this morning and painting was on my mind. The creative juices are starting to flow. Thank you caring people out there.
I have been reading in journals from all over the world and it's amazing. There are really wonderful things out there in cyberspace. Awesome pictures, lovely works of art, neat people.
