Jake continues to have an occasional cough. I am still sick, too, but with more symptoms than he has. Ebil is fine. The pet store said that he did not show any signs of deafness when they took him to the vet for his repiratory problems, but it is possible that he has some sort of ear infection as a result of illness.

I just came to the realization that Jake may very well be deaf. He doesn't like to play with things that jingle or rattle like Ebil, he is much harder to train, and he responds only to vibrations and hand signals! But he is still such a cutie.

Cleaned the cage and rearranged the shelves today. Came up with a step so fatty Jake could make his way up to the cage door from the bedroom floor. All is well and both are happy. :-)

I just noticed they both still have fleas after two flea baths with kitten flea shampoo. How the hell do I get rid of the fleas?!

I still have the flu, the ferrets have pretty much gotten over it. Just a little bit of coughing for them.

Ebil discovered the joy of rolled up pairs of socks and hiding them from me today.

Jake is not yet litter box trained and he UNTRAINED Ebil. What a pain. They are so cute, though.

Today we adopted Jake. He is a rather large ferret that can't quite be described as albino. He is white with a thin line of black gaurd hairs down his back and has dark red eyes. He doesn't like to play with toys but he loves chasing Ebil and cuddling with me.

Ebil has the runs and all of us (Mikey, me, Ebil, and Jake) have the flu.

Ebil continued to cough and sneeze badly today. I managed to put a little medicine on her nose while she was asleep and now she is much better ( Read more... )

Ebil was coughing today, so I gave her a little bit of the ferret hairball remedy. Hopefully this helps. I'm thinking it may be carpet, since she's dug a little hole in a corner. We got her a new gigantic $200 cage. It was expensive, but she loves it! It was necessary to get a bigger cage whether or not we get a second ferret. The first one was ( Read more... )

Pooed in the floor once, peed twice. Just knocked over her water bowl on my carpet. Learned to climb more shelves. Started stealing cd wallets, papers, and keys. Hasn't bitten my feet yet today. Take back the no feet biting. Started biting after I made her get off something she wanted to explore. Otherwise being extremely evil and energetic ( Read more... )
