Well... my owners aren't here... and Mister Batou... they're his rules... so...

[What he's TRYING to say is that he has absolutely no sense of the punishment fitting the crime and he's conditioned to accept whatever punishment he's given. Batou is the only one to step forward and presume to offer discipline. If someone else claimed they had the right to determine what punishment Thom got, things would be a little more complicated...

But no one's thought of that, it seems.]
