Stubborn, stubborn...

Of course, you know, people still upon occasion report seeing youkai.

A comforting thought, in someways, even if it's only the occasional kitsune or a Kuchisake Onna...

The sad thing is that youkai are very tied to nature. As nature is destroyed by man the youkai would have less energy to drawn. I can see other youkai giving up other these circumstances but not Sesshoumaru

I guess it counts which type of youkai you are thinking about...the Kuchisake Onna is very definitely an urban youkai...maybe with a lot of the henge type, being linked to animals, but the tub lickers and youkai zori and umbrellas and critters that lick your bathtub clean, well, I don't think they have much connection to nature itself..LOL. You can tell I spend too much time reading about'em....

Sort of like the cockroaches being able to survive a nuclear war that wipes out humanity.

Yes, it is sad,but on the other hand it shows that he could survive when all of his fellow youkai fade into oblivion.
