Kimhari nodded to Cloud's words before he looked to Freya and with a simple nod, he moved off. Disappearing further into the Calm Lands, his pace was quick and he moved with purpose, he was surprisingly quiet for a Ronso his size.

Spying one cliff to his right, he then turned his head, spotting the large Machina machine and with a sudden leap, he flew through the air and landed rather deftly on his two feet. The cliff towered over the Machina machine and he moved towards the edge, turning to look at Freya,

" We will wait for Cloud's Aeon..or whatever it is they call it, to finish before we make our move. When it is finished, we must jump onto the Vegnagun, are you ready?"

With that said, he caste Haste on them both. He thought it wise they should be able to move with extra speed if need be.

Freya followed behind Kimahri since he obviously would know the lay out of the land better; it felt a bit odd to be fighting beside him after the way they met, but she was thankful to be paired with someone that she had a blank slate with rather than a certain other individual. She was equally impressed to find that Ronso could jump just as well as her own species, not to mention the similarities between the weopon he carried and the standard weopons that most dragoons carried.

She lept a moment after him, landing softly beside him, barely making a sound as she landed next to him and turned to face the machine. This was a good attack point indeed. Almost simultaneously to his through to cast Hastga, she took a moment to cast Reis's Wind on them both as well.

She nodded in response to his question "Ready." She readyied her weopon and preparing to make a second jump as soon as it was time. They would want to hit as quickly after the summoning was done as possible for maximum effect.

Aeris stood up and slowly reached down to pick up her staff. She watched Lulus actions careful, also keeping an eye on Yuna.

She didnt want to be caught out this time. Slowly she raised her head, staring straight at her enemies. Suddenly without warning the familar sights of KOTR appeared towards Lulu.

"LU!" she screamed, but only too late. Aeris bent down to the ground protecting herself from the debris. As the dust cleared she stood up and ran over to her companion.

"Lu...Lu you ok?"

Using the dust as cover, Beatrix took care as she raced toward the Machina. She took care to stay away from Cloud - this early in the game, it was not a good idea to put all the eggs in one basket.

Still too far for hand to hand. Grimacing, the General of Alexandria saw a girl with brown hair tied up in a pony tail run over to a fallen figure. Two white mages out of three ...

The chance of her spell getting one of the healers was very high. Even if her target turned out to be the black mage, it would make the white mages waste time casting a counterspell or administer a remedy.

Raising one hand high in the air, she cried out:

Lulu snarled at the Lady Knight and nodded in affirmation to Aeris as she cast Esuna on her friend. She unhanded her doll, and sent it after Beatrix, all while preparing a Firaga spell just for the knight in question.

What was this battle? They hadn't been expecting it, and it seemed that she'd have to defeat this foe before attempting to scale Vegnagun once more.

This was definitely not good. She had not expected a counterattack so soon, nor that the Black Mage (Beatrix knew the gestures for an elemental spell when she saw one) also had white magic at her disposal. Skidding to a stop, Beatrix praised the Queen in her forethought - Garnet had managed to persuade the General to carry a large stock of Phoenix Pinions in case the battle went for the worse.

There was still a distance of about fifty metres between them. Going on the defensive, she managed to finish casting her reflect upon herself just as the small stuffed knight came into striking distance.

Yuna was awoke from sleep as she heard the sound of a herd of feet stampeding ever closer. "Huh...?" She stood up and peered out over Vegnagun, her eyes going wide as she saw the summon coming towards her. The attack struck, causing Vegnagun to rock violently and knocking off part of its tail. Yuna clung on for dear life as she was nearly whipped off the top of the machina.

Once the rocking stopped, she looked around, seeing the fighters below. "Cloud!" she hissed. "I thought I told you to stay OUT of my world!" She added, pulling out her pistols and firing down at them.

Well, that was enough to get his attention. Though Cloud didn't necessarily hear what Yuna had to say, he felt a bullet or two graze by him. Oh, no, he wasn't getting shot again, he thought as he cast Bolt3 on the Machina.

Take out Vegnagun, and Yuna would be more managable, he thought. He made a mental note to brush up on his shooting after this damned battle was over. Swords worked for shit when it came to long range fighting. He snarled, and contemplated getting closer, but waited for now.

Yuna took a mild shock as the bolt3 struck the top of Vegnagun as the large machina's legs gave slightly. The summoner let out a furious growl as she raised her Nirvana and called down Valefor, gesturing for him to attack.

Ooh, two could play the Aeon game, too. Cloud took a strong hit from Valefor and tumbled to the ground, rolling back to his feet. He quickly shook off the attack. Peering up at Yuna, he cast another Bolt3 on Vegnagun. His magic was getting used up quickly, so he might as well use it on the Machina.

"Why don't you come down from there, Yuna?" Cloud shouted before preparing to summon Anima, if needed.

Kimhari looked to Freya,

" It is time."

With that said, he flicked his spirit lance through the air before stepping back a few paces. Then suddenly he broke into a run, and launched himself off the cliff. As he fell through the air, he turned the lance in the air until it was aimed downwards towards the large machina machine.

They had to get Yuna off the top of it and he hoped, his attack and Freya's combined attack might be enough to do that.

Freya gave her Dragon's Hair lance and spin and took a leap off the cliff, raising up into the air and making a quick survey of the situation below. She knew very little of this machina, but she had put some thought into a target. She aimed for a trajectory that she hoped would hit both the person still on top and a vital looking component nearby.
She drew back and flung the spear downward ahead of her, combining her strength with the power of gravity as the spear sped towards the machine, Freya aiming to land next to the target.

Yuna jumped back, the spear missing her. She wasted no time in aiming a pistol at the rat and firing off a few shots.

"You'll have to tear the machina apart before you'll get us off it." She snarled. She glanced over her shoulder. "Everyone alright?" she asked of Lulu and Aeris.

Lulu nodded silently, and prepared an Ultima spell for use on the approaching foes. Luckily, Aeris' limit skill was still doing it's work. She threw the spell, and immediately took cover.

Yuffie leapt and crawled up one of Vegnagun's legs, doing her best to stay away from the majority of the other battles, and also out of notice. A good Thief didn't just rush in, right?

Having climbed up to one of the joints, she found herself a perch. 'Okay... here gooooes!' In a burst of sparkles, pastels, and ribbony things, her clothes came apart, reforming into metal boots, black pants, a black side-buttoning shirt, and a rather dashing red cape, her headband shifting color to crimson as well.

'... Oh, fine, whatever.' Hmphing, Yuffie raised the rather large rifle she was now holding, and pushed the end into the joint just as Vegnagun was starting to take a step. 'Here's to hoping this thing is weak enough to take damage from this and strong enough that I don't get thrown.'

Then she opened up on Rapid Fire.

Lulu swore under her breath as she heard the sound of a Machina firing rapidly into one of the joints of their plaything. Sneering, she noted the small ninja attempting to disarm their toy with a small rifle.

Despite her annoyance, she did have to laugh. She took a step or two away from the jumping foes, and aimed a Waterga at Yuffie, smirking all the while.

"Oh sh-!"

Yuffie just left the rifle and dived out of the way of the Waterga, letting it splash against Vegnagun's leg where she'd been. She switched back to her Thief dressphere in midair, and threw a grappling line, catching onto a nearby protrusion of the giant Machina and taking a wide swing around.

((OOC: Too bad the Warrior dressphere doesn't come with a lightsaber, or I could go all Luke Skywalker vs. AT-AT on this thing. XD))

Lulu growled, before being temporarily blinded and poisoned by Kimhari's attack. She screamed and fumbled through the darkness to find steady ground so she could cast Esuna on herself once more. That had to be the most useful spell in her inventory. Unfortunately, she misstepped and went tumbling to the ground, landing painfully on her hip. Curling into a ball, she cried out and began to mutter the Esuna spell, regardless.

It didn't seem to work.
