Oh. My. God.
What the hell is
THIS???
I mean - yeah - I would give anything if a word of that was true!
Well, okay, the bits about the expensive champagne and chocolates was true... I spent a huge chunk of my savings on that date... and it was worth it, mostly. Except that now I have to live with the certain knowledge that Padma loathes me. At least, before, when I was admiring her from afar, I could at least pretend that she might like me some day.
Okay, maybe not loathes... she did sort of brush my cheek with a pity-kiss, but that hardly counts, does it?
This is awful. How dare they smear her reputation like that??
As if the Auror who followed us around would have let me kiss her, even had Padma been willing!
What am I going to do?? I have to see her at work!
Private to Miss Patil
Miss Patil,
I am utterly mortified at the article. Please accept my most humble apologies for embarrassing you so. It was never my intention.
Although you made your feelings abundantly clear, I must say that was one of the most memorable days of my life.
I'm so sorry. I'm going to set the record straight - it's the least I can do.
Yours truly,
Garrett
Public to Everyone
Sabrina's article in Witch Weekly regarding Miss Padma Patil is complete fabrication. Miss Patil did grace me with her company as agreed to by the terms of the charity auction. An Auror was present with us at all times, and Miss Patil was everything gracious and chaste.
We did go skating, but the only time she 'held onto' me was when she needed help keeping her balance on the ice. She was elegance and grace, personified, and extremely kind to me, but there was nothing physical or inappropriate in her behaviour throughout the whole!
Not that I wouldn't have loved to....
It is terrible that Sabrina would want to slander anyone who has gone to such lengths for such a good cause. I cannot stand by and watch Miss Patil's good name be smeared.
Sincerely,
Garrett Drake
