Now that the initial flurry of Anniversary posting has subsided, it is my pleasure to renew the monthly Thread Rec posts with a 'special edition' for the First Anniversary of Fiery Inception

Omg, Alex has been bugging me to do this for a while. :p I have a history of not doing recs much because I don't like popularity contests - how am I supposed to pick my favorite threads when there are so many players putting hard work into their characters? Besides, digging through all those pages to find your favs is hard work. XD
To be fair, I tried not to highlight anything that's already been mentioned - even though some of those were in my initial list. But I wanted to give light to some new ones. Wow this is long.... x.x
The hard edges of the world soften, Deirdre Burke and Tonks, PG-13 Well I was going to rec Deirdre's A Life Flickering, because that was a monster of an undertaking on Marie's part and very well done, but then I remembered how much I enjoyed reading her session with Tonks. Their doctor-patient dynamic here is just so how I'd envision anyone's unwilling admission into therapy. While Tonks struggles to open up and confront her own problems, Deirdre presents a very human face in a role that could easily become cold and emotionless (even in real life). Here again are two players who know how to create unique and interesting characters. And besides that, Marie just plays the best damn therapist you could hope for. In-game psychoanalyses. Jeez.
Guess who just got back today...., Perry Derrick and Montague Morsus, PG-13 Just so we know, Perry and Montague have in fact appeared in a thread together TWICE (well... three times now, yeah?). This was their first encounter. I was still breaking into Perry and did terrible here, so don't read my posts :p but Woodra's were just awesome. I don't know what to say, except I love Montague. I love his snark, I love his ability to push buttons, I love that he's oh so seductive and yet so thoroughly twisted - hell, look what he does to his BEST FRIEND. I loved his interactions with the nicer characters because they promised conflict, something that is often avoided in a game. Threads like this gave me chills because you didn't know quite what would happen; and yet, as bad as he is, he's still so tragic.
