Now that the initial flurry of Anniversary posting has subsided, it is my pleasure to renew the monthly Thread Rec posts with a 'special edition' for the First Anniversary of Fiery Inception

1. You Know This Boogie is for Real, Myron Wagtail and Severus Snape, PG. As for the reason, there are so many! The glory itself that is Severus in an AMUSEMENT PARK, and the funness of his interaction with the fey lead singer- how could those be forgotten? The adorable snark and the unlikely friendship developing between the two. Gods, what else? The thing is, I can read that thread over and over again, and it never gets old or boring- always so fresh with the humour of it. It was great to play with Lisa's Snape, who provided so much material to bounce off of. Long live Snape in an Amusement Park!
2. Of Chiselled Cheekbones and Soliloquys, Myron Wagtail, PG. I love that particular standalone of Myron's for its quirky humour and surrealness. And also for providing an explanation as to his sudden silence and disappearance from the public life. And for the old man hobbling away from Myron muttering about psychos running amok. I just could picture that poor guy. XD

8. In Which Juneau Connors Visits the Ministry of Magic, June Connors and NPCs, borderline PG-13. "I see, he said again- deliberately, she was sure this time." Oh the sheer mind-boggling difficulty of writing a blind person! This is a perfectly fleshed out scene wherein we get to see evil NPCs picking at June and her disability, so meanly that I felt the desire to actually punch those stupid Aurors for doing so. I don't want to sound paternalist or whatever, but Eve, I must confess - I love this thread of June's. Although, I have to say, just as much as those few ones where she interacts with Monty. Especially the dance thread one. ;) Can't really forget them, yeah? (The bad thing, I guess, is that I lost the links, and I can't seem to remember neither the name nore the date of those threads. ::cries::)
9. Obey, as I command, Montague Morsus and Terry Boot, R. Amidst the quite a handful of scenes that we have of the bipolar duo, I feel this one had the least exposure and attention, perhaps because of the excessively coded nature of

12. Forty-One, Severus Snape and Remus Lupin, PGish for now. These two men make me want to throw myself off of the cliff for not being the one they'd love. Because they have each other. They each are such perfectly fleshed-out characters that to me it feels like they are real people. And that I am actually spying on them by reading their threads. [I'm kind of weird like that, yeah. >.>] Especially with this one. I feel both insanely curious to see what else happens and utterly ashamed of my desire to peep into their private lives. Mr Snape, Remus-- please, forgive me for my insolence. Oh. My. God.-- and that sentence about drinking wine from Remus' lips? It makes me blush and stutter. Eep!
And as a special Viewers' Choice Award: Terry Boot personal journal entry for challenging the blankness of an HTML page and playing with form and thought and symbols. & Ciaran Malone personal journal entry for Moby Dick, the mind-blowing analysis, and an incestuous exchange with Montague Morsus. Tabs and Marie - you two crazy geniuses

My darlingest--
Oh, thank you so much! You ought to know by now how much your opinion means to me. Ciaran is such a blast to portray in the journals, and I am terrified by how much fun I have when I lose myself in him while writing him against Monty. That incestuous, fabulous duo!
But most of all, thank you for reccing the David thread. I just went back and read it again, and perhaps now that it has been a while (and I've gotten the appropriate distance), it really does scare me. At the time, it was harrowing; now, it shivers me. So--for all its unsettling-ness...well, thanks. I'll stop.
Also, your other recs are to die for. Seconded all-round!
Huge amounts of love for one of our earliest ships. Charlie and Tonks were absolutely fabulous, and this thread, which is when the two of them first really got together, showcases everything that was greatest about them. All of the uncertainty and the longing, wrapped up with their secrets and their pasts - it was totally addictive to watch it unfolding... and to see them gradually connecting with each other, and allowing the other closer was - the whole thing was fabulous. I know Jen has left but Tabs is still around, somewhere and I know she gets a lot of love for Terry (about which SO much more later) but Charlie is amazing too and deserves his share of the limelight.
Flight of the Fury Potter and PansyPansy and Harry always had a very volatile relationship. Ahem. No shit, Sherlock. There are several early threads involving them which I had such a huge amount of fun writing with Tiff, and I couldn't do my favourite threads of the last year without mentioning at least

Another of the early ships that I adored. The awkwardness and the fumbling insecurities of the two characters made up some of my favourite threads in the first... six? months of the game. As characters I adored them both and I loved having Pansy interacting with them but together Kate and Kira took their fabulousness to a whole new level. This thread is THE Theo/Padma thread, as far as I'm concerned, because they finally really get together, and Theo is just so cute and Padma is so adorable! I think Kate left not long after this, so sadly we didn't get much more Theo/Padma. This thread, then, is really just a taster of the great things that could have happened.
I disappear into nothingness Terry and MontyI lose count of the number of times I have recced this thread. I love all the Terry/Monty threads. They are all dark and disturbing and twisted and alluring and a million other adjectives for complex and beautiful and excellent-reading-material. This thread has been recced by pretty much every player who was

Just one of the many, many threads that have made me become a Snupin fan. JL and Lisa are unbelievable writers, and I love all of their interactions between Remus & Snape- they have done a beautiful job of letting us see the progression of this relationship.
I love, love, LOVE the interactions between Snape and June, and this thread is beautiful - Snape finally relaxes and enjoys himself for a moment, and June is just in bliss.
