This story was equally brilliant. I loved the fact that though you didn't technically say that he had DIED, you conveyed the idea wonderfully.

Okay, so about a month ago a friend of mine went missing. Only for 2 weeks, but it was a disappearance like this. Except without Patrick, Pete or the involvance of shiny black notebooks. But the emotions in this are near to perfection...it's stunning. I think I use that word too much, but this story actually fits it. I hope this never happens.
