Weekend was too short. No enough was acomplished by me. The little man is starting to bounce back from the latest ear infection (the tubes make it so we catch them earlier which helps). Work is still crazy, so I expect today to suck. Hopefully I'm wrong and today will be smooth sailing. :)

Same calculation error, other direction.
Mental note when using smaller fruit (berries, figs, etc) jam recipes for the first time. The odds are good that the person writing them doesn't own a Squeeze-O (or even know what one is).** Upon checking their notes at the bottom of the recipe, they did not even peal the figs..... Productivity...I has it.
44 jars of beautiful red jam. Yesterday I made and canned 44 jars of jam. 36 were peach rum jam, and 8 were plain peach (I ran out of rum). There is also about a pint of fresh jam in the fridge in the form of the skim bowls. Waffles are great little kid foood. Cut them up and kiddo can feed himself. They even soak the syrup nicely. Despite the lack of visable syrup, a small boy can still get syrup in his hair ( Read more... ) -

Ug! Cutting teeth and a day-care borne virus. The Little Man is having a rough week. He stayed home with Dad yesterday, but we shall see if I'm home with him today. The doc cleared him to go back to daycare today, but if he's still not feeling good there's no point in sending him. -
Weekend
The weekend was way too short. Saturday we went to WOPP, and I had one of those events that makes you enthusiastic to dive right back into SCA projects again. :) Good fighting, got to talk A&S with folks, got to relax. Stoned Kitty Muffins...
Because it was requested. Here's the recipe for the Gingerbread muffins that got my dumb kitty stoned. Technically an original recipe since the one I found was missing a few key ingredients (like sugar) for good gingerbread.
