Well I'm finally back from the mission trip. I had so much fun. I really made some big life changes. I realized that I need to be more serious and more soldier like. We are fighting a war here. i'm done with summer school, but i'm back and forth between my folks house and eburg. i'll be around until tuesday, then i go back to ellensburg for a little bit. ~tove

Are you willing to give me up?

Word of advice...don't give up your friends. Instead of giving them up let them know what you stand for and tell them you still want to be friends. I did what you are suggesting and it didn't help me...it made things worse. It gives "Christians" and bad name when you say you are willing to give up your friends, like they are the problem, as if they aren't holy enough for you....

Just speaking from personal experience.

I understand what you're saying. I'm not saying that I'm automatically giving up all of my unChristian friends. I'm just saying that if it comes to the point where I find that I'm being brought down because I'm around them, I'm willing to walk away. This stands for everyone, Christian or not Christian; family or not family...

hey daren it was nice to hear from you. from my personal experience i can tell you that if giving up friends is something you need to do, i would. i did. i mean sure, you get your car egged. ur house egged, but in it all you have to thank God for a spong and soap right? :) but seriously, when i started my rekindle with God, the poeple deffinatly noticed, and they flat out told me "amber ur not turning into that churchy girl again are you?" but i kept hanging out with them. and what happend? i use this example to help me explain: it is much harder to have a person on a chair lift someone onto the chair, than the person on the ground to pull them off the support that they once had and make them fall down. just think about that the next time someone tells you that they liked the old Daren better... cuz i like the Daren who dont care what people think about him and does what he knows is rightous to God, and to what he stands for. I Love You Daren.... Amber call me up sometime... oh yeah, congrads on the new beautiful person in your life ( ... )
