And I thought the postal service was crap in Poland.

I mean the actual service, not the band.

The band is quite alright.

My mom sent me a package containing, among other things, a document entitling me to vote here for the Polish elections.

For some reason, they didn't squeeze it through the mail slot in the door.  I checked, it would've ( Read more... )

fuck, i have to figure out how to vote here before sunday! have you done it before in poland? any ideas?

DO you have a dowod? If you do, just go to the voting station that includes the street you have on your dowod. You should be on the list of voters there. The stations will be listed on big posters all around town; They always have them up somewhere on the square, last time I think it was next to the head. If you don't have a dowod, only a passport and no address (zameldowanie) I think it's too late, you would've had to register by the 16th at the latest....

You know my opinion about Royal Mail. I lost the respect I had for them (not that it was much in the first place) after that where-is-Dublin? incident.

Though when it comes to slow service, Bronowicka is still number one! You have to wait even when there is no queue :)
