Note: All the folklore Sylar used about Gabriel is said to be true, and the song/poem he tells Mohinder IS an actual poem.

"Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin's name was Mary."
 Luke 1:26-27

Wow. This... this was amazing. I'm actually starting to cry, that's how amazing this was.

This story was so heartfelt, and even though I'm no fan of Sylar here, I can totally believe it.

My gosh, this made my Christmas Eve. <3

I really like this particularly with the use of the religious tones since it harkens back to the first season. I really like the discussion of the Angel Gabriel as having two purposes (and although I'm not religious I have a vague knowledge already and have always found this subject interesting). I think you've done a very good job of bringing Gabriel forth in the church and then having Sylar be more in place once outside. Interesting to see that even Sylar has a certain code (a reprieve during Christmas).

I love this:

“But you know Mohinder, you’re safe every day of the year.” It seemed as if there was more he wished to say, a million things racing along with their hearts, but he said no more.

*sniffs* Beautiful. It may have helped that I was listening to "Oh Holy Night" on loop. I just loved this, this has filled me with more Christmas Spirit than I've had all season..well, a couple other songfics too, but since it's Christmas Eve and all...Wonderful!

That was very sweet. I could see Sylar not wanting to hurt Molly on Christmas. I like how you let Gab out in the church and Sylar back outside.

I really haven't been in the Christmas spirit and writing this put me a lot more into it...I don't know why, it's so weird. See the reason I think he wouldn't kill Molly in my fic is because it seems to me like his need to kill people with abilities is an actual need, like breating or eating. I think he proved it when he didn't WANT to kill Ted, but like...had to. How he called Mohinder all upset because he didn't WANT to kill all those innocent people in NY. If any of you know what Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is, I think his 'insanity' is almost like that ( ... )
