There are no real resolutions this year. The holidays have left me more confused than ever. 10 years ago I was happy. I didn’t believe in love. I chewed people up and spit them out and I liked it that way. Then I met someone that changed everything and I’ve been a blithering idiot ever since. I think that there is a distinct difference between 'being shallow' and 'refusing to live a television lifestyle'. Or, if you prefer, a difference between looking for something which doesn't exist and being shallow.

See, I was part of a family where the whole "true love" thing was a reality. People that spent their entire lives with each other. They were better together than they were apart. It's hard to turn your back on that.

I'm choosing to stop striving to find something better than what I've got and that's shallow.
