Hmm, maybe I'll watch it again today too. I love idealistic, optimistic shows. Craig Ferguson once described Doctor Who as "The triumph of intellect and romance over brute force and cynicism," and I think the same can be said of this show, or West Wing. Or most of the shows I've loved.

I just love shows that make me sit down and listen, as opposed to just space off or wander in and out of the room. When I sat down to watch this episode last week, I was literally sitting there quietly the whole time, totally immersed in what was going on and thinking about it - not enough TV that makes one think these days.

Oh, yay! I watched it last week and enjoyed it, but, not having HBO, I am a bit constrained in my ability to watch the rest of it. :-(

I was very concerned with the critical reception but individuals I trust seem to like it, so glad for that. Will give it a shot.
