In contemplating my unfinished stories, I came across this fragment which I believe is as finished as I'm ever going to get it. I think the giant cliffhanger in the middle of the next series (or between the two small series, whatever you want to call it) is going to be ( cut for blatant and completely unsubstantiated speculation not based in any reality but the one between my ears ) -
