They're pretty neat but there's at least a dozen other cliffs of lesser impressiveness but still very neat. My hosts actually wouldn't take me to the top of the Cliffs because they've turned into a huge tourist spot complete with 10 euro entrance fee and a giant welcoming center (buried underground, so I guess it's not the worse they could've done). I actually found the shrine of St. Bridget nearby much more interesting. Loads and loads of relics left by pilgrims who wanted to ask a favor. Matchbooks, Mardi Gras beads, pictures, statues. It was really cool.
cool. when i was doing my superhero ride we painted the wooden around the fountain of st brigid. i dont know if thats the same place, and i dont even remember the name of the county/town its outside of, which are the same name. there was an amazing tree with all the things you described, including bras and underwear also. i wonder if this is the same place. if so, i painted the fence with all my friends :)
there are lots of shrines to st. brigid, she is a patron saint of ireland after all. I think the one you're refering to is the one in Kildare, County Kildare, which was her home. The one I went to was in Co. Clare. I think it was called Liscanoor. nice that they follow similar practices.
