Stares at computer. Blinks.
Back in January I bought a new laptop when Windows 7 reached end-of-life and my old machine proved less-than-capable at running Windows 10. I got another Thinkpad, refurbished, and had it shipped right to my brother so he could replace the hard-drive with two new solid-state drives. And it’s been great ever since, except for the battery.

Raspberry Pi and Pi-hole, setup and observations
I’ve been meaning to write this up for a few days, so here we are. Overall it took me about two-ish hours from start to finish, including a couple of false steps and do-overs, so hopefully this helps you get started yourself. Still unpacking at the new house. Today I ran across a box that had my old portfolio, the one that got me into grad school, and the speakers from my first new computer, the one I bought at UB Micro in 1997 with the remainder of my scholarship money for the semester.
