yeah, it's one of the few things i can't stand about working in a commissioned sales environment. luckily, i don't have to deal with it in my department very often, because most of the guys are really reasonable about it. he's the only exception.
We had a christmas season sales contest one year. The person who won, was like about a third higher than everyone else at the end of the year. She got this huge bonus and everything. Within 2 weeks of christmas, half her sales were returned because she sold to make money, not to give the customer what he or she wanted. SHe still got the big bonus though. it was bull shit.
heh, that's what this kid does too. he sells what makes him money, in big discounted packages so that people can't return single items on the bill. there have been several times that his customers have come back asking what the fuck they bought, and why they paid for all this extra shit that they didn't ask for.
