Wind starts out as a straight line of air, really high up, near the ozone. Pressure from outside of the straight line causes it to bend, and with enough pressure, large gusts of wind disturb the earth with wind, as the pressure is unevenly applied, causing all of the air to move forward from the pressure at high speeds.
