Oops, I just failed the UK Citizenship Test.  Good thing I was born here eh.

Have a go and see how you do!

I failed too. It does make one wonder how anyone ever gets through.

It's a ridiculous test. Some of the questions are utterly irrelevant to citizenship (when did married women get the right to divorce their husbands? - might as well ask when the Sedition Act was passed) and others are badly or ambiguously phrased "Do you need a doctor's letter to attend a hospital? - for what purpose?). I'm guessing most of the Cabinet would fail it.

The precision of knowledge expected is really ridiculous. Does it matter whether you think there are 646 or 664 constituencies, for instance?

I remember my local greengrocer (Kurdish) when he was going for his after twenty years of living in the UK noting the ridiculousness of it and asking whether it was really relevant to know how many wives Henry VIII had. I think he was a little surprised when the customers in the shop at the time started chanting 'divorced, beheaded, died......'

LOL! At least that's the kind of thing British people do generally know, even if it's not that important in daily life.

I failed too. Clearly people like us are undesirables!

I failed too! I recall Clanwilliam saying that the citizenship test should be asking people if they were willing to sit a citizenship test and then passing them if they told you to bugger off.
