When Mum said come home for the holidays, we'll spend quality time together, I did not take her to mean 'I will work you like a mule refurbishing the upstairs'. I am not sure I'll ever feel right again. Bruises, bumps and sore muscles abound. Still, she seems happy enough about it, so I can't be rude.
