assisting in a wedding
Yesterday I assisted Ryan in a wedding. It was a day before Hurricane Irene was supposed to reach MA, so it was a bit rainy. However, all seemed to go well and I like a few of my shots from it. The bride was nice. When I get married some day, I'm not sure I will be able to hold it together without getting cranky on the wedding day. Time will tell, ( Read more... ) -
the fall
In the last few days I have been looking forward to the fall. I made a curry yesterday that seemed very autumnal - purple potatoes, paprika, turmeric, and cinnamon. The darkness of it reminded me of wet leaves that are trod into a paste ( Read more... ) -

Etsy
There are many Etsy shops out there. I have spent hours looking through them. I am thinking about opening one myself. The question is, what do I make that is unique enough to sell? I can crochet scarves and potholders, put jewelry together and take photographs. However, looking on Etsy, these items are far from unique. I'm tempted to start at what ( Read more... ) -
3 things
Three things I love right now:
1. Homemade bread made with flax meal flour. So tasty!
2. The cleaning power of baking soda and vinegar combined on the shower floor.
3. Shaving my legs with cold-processed bar soap rather than shave gel. Saves the packaging, aerosol and chemicals I don't need. -

Life has been going fairly well. When I end up in a rough patch, I remind myself that I grew up with good family and friends, have a roof over my head, an amazingly understanding man and have a job I enjoy. That's usually enough to get me out of a funk ( Read more... ) -
aquarium
The other weekend I went to the aquarium with Lindsey. It was SO awesome. We spent 3 hours there, easily. My favorites were Myrtle the Turtle (over 500 pounds!) and the jelly fish.
