An enjoyable piece! Of course, Sai would already feel familiar with these players due to Shindou, and he'd probably act a little too intimately with them -- I was rather surprised that Sai would make a teasing remark about Ogata's age, but considering this is set ten years after the NetGo, I suppose Sai has "known" him for about twelve years!

Good Ogata POV -- I like how he's obviously a bit overwhelmed, but still observant (the part about Sai's handshake was a nice way to hint that Sai is still probably getting used to his body... and that he shakes with both hands indicates that he might be *really* thrilled to be able interact with the living again.)

Hahah, of course Shindou doesn't want to go to Ogata's place. If Ogata's willing to accost people in public places, no telling what he'll do in his own apartment. XD

I think you forgot to insert the names of the Chinese players... maybe Yang Hai and Le Ping? ^_^

Well, given that most of the Go players Sai has met before Ogata have been ex-insei, I guess he wouldn't have had the opportunity to talk about someone getting older, rather than (merely) becoming grown-up. ^_^;

Glad you liked the Ogata POV; this came out of wondering how Ogata would react were he to meet the boisterous side of Sai.

Oh, I do hope there will be more of this. I'm loving Sai so much with his enthusiasm for being able to interact with everyone directly and I always love to see someone mess with Ogata's mind, deliberately or not.
