question

I just discovered Discordianism yesterday and am very intrigued by it, however I have just one question.  I keep reading about hot dogs, but eating hot dogs is not a nessecary practice, is it?  See, I am a vegetarian, and to me that comes first.

There are no necessary practices, except this one... which is not to say that you have to eat hot dogs. You as a vegetarian should be sure to abjure the hot dog and eat only the bun. In this, the Original Snub is still recognized.

Tofu dogs are yum. I recommend Smart Dogs or Tofu Pups.

As a genuine and authorized Pope, you are empowered to decide which practices are necessary and which aren't.

As are all popes, which is to say all practioners, hangers on, emulators, and anyone who has a pope card, ever had a pope card, ever heard of a pope card, etc. And thus is the chaos maintained and spread throughout the aether.

Hail Eris!

A Discordian is prohibited of believing what s/he reads.

Including the instructions to joyfully eat a hot dog on a Friday. And, of course, this entire LJ community.
