here If it were up to Angel, he would keep Fred in bed for the rest of her pregnancy. The woman he loved was pregnant with his child. When he'd been nothing but a drunkard, he never thought he would have children. Angelus ate children, and Angel never imagined himself having any. Vampires weren't supposed to procreate. They were undead creatures.
When Fred started to ramble on about talking to Wesley and calling her parents, Angel sat up and slowly rubbed his hand on her back. "One step at a time, Fred," he whispered as he wrapped an arm around her. "I know of a demon doctor. Lorne introduced us at Caritas and if Lorne trusts him, then he has to be one of the good guys. As for your parents, how about we wait for a while? Lets find out what's going on before we tell them anything."
Leaning over, he softly nuzzled her neck. He looked toward the door and started to wonder what was talking Wes and Giles so long. They were supposed to be good at researching things but it seemed like they were taking their time. Angel didn't like that at all and thought he should go downstairs and prod them a little. Knowing them, they were probably sitting there, talking about different kinds of tea!
Angel let out an unneeded sigh. He looked at Fred and then at the door again. He wanted to check on the men downstairs but he didn't want to leave Fred alone. "We should go downstairs and check on Wes and Giles. They seem to be taking a long time." He got off the bed and furrowed his brow. In order to get downstairs, they would have to take the stairs. He suddenly remembered all those daytime shows Cordy watched where women would fall down the stairs and lose their babies.
He didn't want Fred to lose their child.
"You shouldn't walk down the steps," Angel stated as he scooped Fred off the bed and started to walk toward the door.
