Sorry to hear about the job thing though. If you can't find anything, you might want to try to get unemployment in the meantime. I didn't think I could get unemployment, because I had been working for a temp agency prior to losing my job, but then when I applied for foodstamps they made me apply for it, and alas, fortunately I got it. It isn't much, but it definitely helps.

Thanks for the congrats, and thanks for the tip. I went and checked out the website of the Department of Labor (and laughed at the title, given my current situation) and it says to apply for unemployment IMMEDIATELY, not to wait and see if I can find a job, because waiting can make me ineligible. I thought that was odd, but it's definitely good to know!
