Excellent. Why would your boss fire you just because your 'knocked up'? Seems unreasonable to me. If your a good employee and your job is not in a warehouse carrying crates what difference does it make?
How is the art going? Selling any pieces? Anything new on the website?
Well, I don't know for sure that my pregnancy is the main reason, though it probably measures in there somewhere. :/ It happens a lot, unfortunately, pregnant women getting let go. Every pregnant woman I know without a 4+ year degree and a ridiculously high salary gets fired. The rest of us, well, our bosses know we can't afford a lawyer, so who cares? (Not that it's actually illegal anyway, but that wouldn't stop someone from suing for damages.)
No news on the art front yet, though I might go tomorrow to check out the possibility of showing at another coffee house.
Nope. There's no law against it. Gotta love it, how so many politicians are trying to make abortion illegal, but there's no law that your insurance has to cover maternity care, and no law against firing pregnant women, no law about maternity leave (though FMLA can get used in a pinch), etc.. You can tell how much they REALLY care about pregnant women..
