I just got done watching this IFC movie starring Jonas Ball as Mark Chapman. The movie was about the events leading up to the killing of John Lennon in Mark Chapman's own words. Taken from his journal or something. It was pretty good. It gave you the insight to the mind of Chapman ( Read more... )

That's weird, I've had a "Beatles weekend" too. Looking at viddies on youtube, internet surfing stuff. I saw a funny viddie. 4 kids were reenacting Lennons funeral. One kid was lying there, and the other 3 looking down. one of the kids playing either Paul or george says "it should have been Ringo." The ringo kid looks up and says "hey, I'm standing right here you know."
I wanna see that movie.

Your synopsis makes me want to see the movie, I had no idea there was that sort of back story to the whole thing. All I knew about the Beetles was my mom hated them, so we never heard about them much. Her parent-filter was pretty effective.

It was a good movie. Mark David Chapman was a nut and just focused himself on Johnn Lennon for that reason of being a phony and that he thought the book "The Catcher in The Rye" was about him and guiding him to kill Lennon. That was crazy. The movie was viewed through Chapman's eyes through his writings so it was cool.
