The kitties made another foray into the great outdoors this morning and were immediately taught a lesson in the official mountain pecking order: Steller's Jays beat kitties every time.

Steller's Jays have a reputation for being kind of nasty, so I'm not surprised to read that they chased your cats (who are usually higher on the food chain) back indoors. Do your cats make those cute chirping/chattering noises when they are watching birds?

they did in the old house but not yet hear. Bella sometimes sounds just like a squirrel or Riki Tikki Tavi!
