The sun's finally out today. After being dreadfully ill last week with the flu, it's nice to see the sunshine. It's also great to have a paid holiday today. I missed three days of work last week which meant using sick days. This means I'll miss earning bonus days for perfect attendance. Crazy to be worried about it at all; I'm happy to have a job. I've been missing my livejournal and writing. I still love the twitter and actually use it to track trends and keep on top of local events that I can't access any other way. Dan & Elizabeth, Steve's brother and sister-in-law arrived today! They drove down from Seattle by way of Yosemite and are enscounced on the mountain waiting for us both to get home from work.  I just set up an evernote account. I'm excited about the concept and just maybe, in addition to remembering everything for me, learning how it works & what it does will grow me some new brain cells!

This has been two weekends in a row that friends were expected and the fog magically cleared just in time. This morning it cleared for us and lingered lower down. I love the feeling of being on a island above the fog. I hosted brunch for the Bitches today to celebrate Tina & Scott's engagement. What a great meal! Last Friday: 2 year anniversary with SK. Nice & low key celebration. Still not quite sure how two years have flown by so quickly. Feel like lucky girl who stumbled upon a lottery win.

Last Friday I spent about an hour and a half running around trying to complete all my errands before heading to the old house to pick up Turbo & Bella. My last stop was Trader Joe's. The kitties made another foray into the great outdoors this morning and were immediately taught a lesson in the official mountain pecking order: Steller's Jays beat kitties every time.
