OOC: Infopost, The Mostly Gratuitous But Possibly Also Justified This Time Edition
Figured I might as well. Besides, there's a couple of things that I realized I should probably note.
Éponine Thénardier (filleauloup) -- Les Misérables by Victor Hugo (Brickverse, that is to say book canon, not musical canon)

Nothing could be sadder than to see her frolicking and, so to speak, fluttering about the room with the movements of a bird that is startled by the light or has a broken wing. You feel that under other conditions of education and of fate, the gay, free manner of this young girl might have been something sweet and charming. Never among animals does the creature born to be a dove change into an osprey. That is only seen among men.
* Comes from Paris, France, in 1832, where by some weird twist of fate she survived the barricades, where she did not go to be part of the fight, FFS. (I have many grievances with fanon characterization.)
* Spent years living in extreme poverty and/or homeless, and looks like it; she's slowly improving but still really scrawny (but on the tall side at 5'8" or so), and is missing a few teeth, which isn't hard to notice since she has a tendency to let her mouth hang sort of halfway open most of the time.
* Is, appearance-wise, an uncomfortable mix of teenaged and prematurely aged. ("The grace of her youth was still struggling against the hideous old age brought on by debauchery and poverty.") Basically, she's an awkward mix of jaded/cynical/older-than-her-years and a 19-year-old girl who's still trying to be one, the 19th-century equivalent of a middle-school dropout with a juvie record.
* Has a bit of an alcohol problem, and the hoarse, wrecked voice to go with it.
* Is an abuse survivor; her father is also exactly the kind of jackass who would (and did) sell his own kid as a prostitute.
* Is mentally unstable and very damaged emotionally and psychologically.
* Is also a walking ball of terrible life choices, a frequently morbid imagination, and epic self-loathing.
* Has a tendency to hum, sing, and/or talk to herself a lot.
* Can be very talkative. Side effect of being lonely for so long; when she's in a babbly mood she talks like she's got years of missed conversations to make up for.
* Conned her way into a job at the post office, moved into one of the warehouses in town, and blackmailed an NPC town employee into hooking it up with free utilities.
* May do something nice for you, but may just as likely try and cash in on that favor later.
* Is absolutely capable of fucking you over without a second thought if she thinks she has something worthwhile to gain from it, though as tiny as Fandom is, she knows how easily it could come back to bite her in the ass so she's careful about that. (That's available for plotty purposes if you need such a thing; just drop me a line OOC and we can work something out.)
* Genuinely never expected to live to see 19 (technically 17 in canon, but for game purposes she's older), and isn't really sure what to do about it.
* Wears modern-day clothes around Fandom, since she didn't exactly have anything of her own to bring with her when she ended up here (and 1830s women's clothing was ridiculous anyway), but for the most part tends to favor dresses/long skirts.
* Has a weird confused crush on Sam Traynor and a habit of harmlessly creeping on her. (Mainly just hanging out across the street from the Portalocity office or occasionally stopping to watch for a few minutes elsewhere around town.)
Oh, and the post office is hiring! Éponine's not in charge, but contact me OOCly about it if you're interested.
Speaking of the post office, Éponine will make deliveries, even sketchy ones, off the clock for you if you need them and are willing to pay her. If you need your mail messed with for plotty reasons, she can make that happpen too.
Her original and ridiculously in-depth infopost is, well. There. To be perfectly honest, I live in constant fear of messing up writing her because she's probably the most complicated character I've ever played. Don't be surprised if I A) check with you before I ping her into a post and B) repeatedly apologize because she's a whole mess of issues.

* Is dating Tony Stark (hoorayimrich) because mixing DC and Marvel is basically a thing that always needs to happen in Fandom.
* Is serving as TA for Batman (who is not the Batman from her timeline) for the summer.
* Has a second-rate criminal mastermind, Arthur Brown AKA the Cluemaster, for a father.
* Has serious daddy issues as a result.
* So you know, she's got a couple of things in common with Éponine.
* Like the terrible self-esteem, though hers isn't nearly as severe as 'Ponine's.
* Had a baby that she gave up for adoption before she came to Fandom, but she doesn't talk about it.
* Likes punching people in the face. Or hitting them with a brick. In the face. This is how she met her ex-boyfriend Tim Drake, as a matter of fact.
* Got to train with Iron Fist in K'un L'un while she was off in China with Tony last summer, and therefore got to take a level or two in badass. (If she'd stayed in her own universe, it'd be the equivalent of taking a trip to Nanda Parbat.)
* Is secretly the fourth of Batman's kid-sidekick Robins.
* The only people who absolutely know this for sure are Tony Stark , Toby Logan, and Topher Brink, and probably you too if your name starts with To-. Okay, not really. I don't mind other people finding out, but please let me know if you'd like that to happen so we can work it out?
* Is not the sharpest or most experienced junior detective, but she's learning. Her eagerness tends to get in the way of her effectiveness, though.
* Is quite capable of being smartass, sarcastic, and/or bitchy.

Ancestor to Cade Skywalker (makemyownway) and Marasiah Fel (notconflicted). (All of whose moods may be affected by the above information, at their players' discretion, FYI.)
* Not related to Zayne Carrick (cataclysmicluck) or Atton Rand (suitablyheroic).
* Is a lot like his father Han, if Han were a teenager with Force abilities: yes, that means he's reckless and impulsive and doesn't care about the odds.
* Has a chip on his shoulder about everyone worrying he's going to turn to the Dark Side because of his name.
* Related to this, he's kind of a Marty Stu like his grandfather, because he is ridiculously strong in the Force.
