I applied to NYU and Boston U. I didn't get into NYU, but that's ok...their program didn't really fit me. They do have a good program though. I got into Boston U but decided not to go there. It seemed to be a good school, but a two year program should not cost $60,000 (I was applying for grad school). Emerson actually looked pretty cool, but I wanted an MFA and not an MA. I don't know about the other programs, although I've heard mention of all of them and have heard good things about all the rest

I dont even think U of I in chicago has a film program but honestly everyone is going to be really bias when it comes to which schools they like the best depends what kinda experience they had honestly you just have to look at all the schools see if they are what you want...a degree from the big schools doesnt mean you have a job right out of school its what you did while in school

Overall, they are probably #3 and #6 on the list of film schools.

NYU and Boston University are the programs I know the most and like so I'd tend to put them on the higher end.
But like anything else, you will get out of school what you put in. You don't have to go to a big name if you want to make it in film. Not even close.
