This seems like the best forum to just write something to write it down, not with the intention of anyone reading it. I had a dream last night, and it was one of the worst dreams I've ever had, but I need to retain it, because dreams like that are so few and far between. I think it was 4 or 5 years from now, and I found out everyone had been lying

I'm so sorry you never got to know your father. :-(

I did get to know him, for 14 years at least. Some people have it way worse than me by never knowing their fathers at all. There's just a lot of things I wish he was able to be around for -first car, graduation, potential future wedding/grandchildren.

Oh I didn't realize that. If you don't mind me asking how did he pass away?

He had cirrhosis of the liver. He was an alcoholic. We didn't even know he was sick, so there was no lead up or preparation. I just came home from school one Friday and my mom told me and that was that.
